Horseshoe Crab & Shorebird Festival

This festival celebrates horseshoe crabs and migrating shorebirds, long considered by many to be a natural wonder of Delaware Bay. Count yourself among the 1,500-plus visitors who annually enjoy: arts and crafts, as well as an art show boat rides down the Broadkill River canoe trips on Prime Hook Creek exhibits games great food music scavenger hunt trail walks at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge train rides for the kids and more This year will be the 11th annual event! The Chamber of Commerce and the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge sponsor the event. Watch for updated activities  coming soon. A shuttle bus will be available to transport visitors to and from the Refuge. Milton's Hometown July 4th

Festivities begin at 10 am in Milton’s Memorial Park with an old fashioned Picnic in the Park sponsored by the Milton community.   There will be lots of activities for kids of all ages!  Activities include a dunk tank, sack races, pie baking contest, and games.  A highlight will be a bike decorating contest and bike parade sponsored by Irish Eyes Pub and Restaurant.   Grand prizes of two brand new bikes will be awarded to the winners – one each to the best boy and girl entries.   In addition, there will be music and entertainment throughout the day in the Gazebo, the Lions Club train will be running, food vendors will offer a variety of options, and there will be free ice cream!

Bargains on the Broadkill/ Canoe & Kayak Race

The  Annual Bargains on the Broadkill summer festival is an event for all ages. It features over 50 vendors of arts and crafts,jewelry, goodies and food. Also the Great Duck Race offers  many cash prizes to the top 25 winners.Top prize is the Chamber of Commerce award of $500, with many more prizes donated by Chamber members. Come out and support the Milton Chamber of Commerce and enjoy a fun filled day in the historic town of Milton.  Also on the same day, the  Annual Broadkill 10- mile Canoe and Kayak Race is held. This event is hosted by Irish Eyes . Lots to do in Milton on the 4th Saturday of August. All events take place in Milton Memorial Park, Chandler Street in Milton. 2nd Annual Broadkill Banjos and Seafood

Great Music and Seafood can be found on Saturday, October 17 at Milton's Memorial Park.  Located at the corner of Union and Chandler Street in Milton.  The event starts at noon with great seafood available from noon to 4pm non-stop music until 8pm. Admission is free and food will be available to purchase on the ticket system.  Tickets are available at a cost of $2.00 per ticket.  Most food items cost between 1 and 4 tickets. Tables and chairs will be available in the eating area but you may want to bring a lawn chair if you plan to enjoy the music.

Christmas Parade

The annual Milton Christmas Parade takes place on the first Wednesday of December at 7:30 pm. Sponsored by the Milton Volunteer Fire Department it's a fun event for the whole town. What's more fun than marching bands, lots of bright red fire trucks from all over the area, towns businesses and residents all decked out for the holidays? Holly Festival

The Milton Chamber of Commerce sponsors this annual holiday event which includes many Milton organizations joining in to bring visitors a spectacular day in historic Milton! Always on the 2nd Saturday in December, The Holly Festival features  many fine hand craftes in the Fire Hall, Goshen Hall, Milton Theater and Milton Library. Santa will be in town for little ones. A holly wreath-making demonstration is offered at the Historical Society Museum. This is a highlight as it commemorates an important industry from Milton's past. The Public Library and many downtown merchants take part with special decor, gifts for sale and  holiday treats as well. At 2:30 following the Holly Festival, the Milton Century Club will present the very popular Holiday House Tour.
