The Nature Conservancy
The Nature Conservancy is the leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important land and waters for nature and people. The Delaware Chapter is committed to conserving nature in the First State for the benefit of the environment and the people who share it. Established in 1990, TNC Delaware owns and manages about 5,000 acres of land in Delaware and have helped protect over 30,000 acres across the state. We have 6 preserves- 1 in Kent and 5 in Sussex County. We use science-based approaches and seek non-confrontational, programmatic solutions to conservation challenges.
