THE SUSSEX COUNTY STAMP CLUB
The club was founded in 1989 in Sussex County and currently we hold our meetings at St. John’s Hall on Federal St. here in Milton. We celebrated our 25th year as a club in 2014. Membership in the club consist of annual dues(only 15.00 a year) a regular meeting on the first Wednesday of each month. The election of officers is held yearly. At the meetings, we discuss and plan events involving stamps including guest speakers. Collecting stamps and making them available to members is a priority. There is an auction held at the conclusion of each meeting which enables our membership to acquire stamps inexpensively along with refreshments. The Sussex county Stamp club is the only registered NonProfit stamp club in Delaware, the club is an affiliation to The American Philatelic Society which we are members. Presently we receive Circuit books from the American Philatelic Society which may also enhance a growing collection. Sussex County Stamp Club participates in local events around Milton including the St Patrick Day Parade and an annual food drive which supports the Milton Community Food Pantry. Every year we have a club picnic and a catered Christmas party which is free to all members.
