Directions

Located just 5 minutes off Route 1 on Delaware’s Eastern Shore (just north of the Rehoboth and Lewes beaches), Milton is easy to find:

From Points South (Rehoboth-Lewes):

Head north on Route 1 to Route 16. Turn left at this traffic light, heading west. About 2-3 miles later, you’ll come upon Route 5 at the next traffic light. Turn left and head right into downtown Milton!

From Points North (Dover-Wilmington-Philadelphia):

From I-95, head south on Route 1 towards the beaches, you’ll see the sign for Historic Milton not long after you pass by Milford and Slaughter Beach. Turn right where Route 5 intersects with Route 1. Wind a few miles down the road and straight through the traffic light at Route 16 and, soon, you’ll be smack dab in the middle of Milton.

From Points West (D.C.-Baltimore):

Cross over the Bay Bridge just outside Annapolis as you head east on Route 50. Bear to the left where two lanes offer access to Route 404. Just after Denton, Maryland, you’ll see signs for Route 16 and you’ll turn left at that intersection with the blinking light. Follow the bends in the road through the rural countryside that leads you to a traffic light at Greenwood. Turn left and go slowly through Greenwood (you will still be on Route 16). Continue on through Ellendale (again, the speed limit is 25 mph) until you see the outskirts of Milton. At the intersection of Route 16 and Route 5, turn right. Just ahead is Milton’s historic district, shopping and bed& breakfast establishments.
